Born in 1989 for the development of special electronic equipment, from 1997 Green Bit has focused its activities on biometric technologies related to fingerprints. Today the company is a solid and dynamic entity located in Grugliasco, very close to Turin. The deep know-how acquired in years of research and development, the constant job of an international team of scientists and technicians with highest experience, make Green Bit one of the most active companies in this sector at world-wide level.

The company is, in fact, one of the few Companies in the world able to realize internally all the optical, mechanical, electronic solutions as well as the software regarding fingerprint biometric technology. Thanks to this, Green Bit products have obtained the IAFIS-IQS certification, answering to most severe FBI standard.

Green Bit addresses three market sectors: Law Enforcement, Public Authority and Commercial Applications:

For Law Enforcement, Green Bit develops Standard Products and Custom Products that satisfy the most sophisticated requirements: all the live-scanners are compliant to IAFIS-IQS standard and the Photo-scanner is ICAO compliant.

For the Public Authorities market segment, addressing the issuing and control of the new e-Documents (ID-Card, Passport, Visa, Immigrants Permission, Driving License, etc.), Green Bit offer ranges of products “standard” and “custom” according to specific customer requests combining the Fingerprint Scanner ( single fingerprint or 10-fingerprint flat acquisition) with other peripherals such as: Photo Scanner, SmartCard and RFID reader/writer modules, etc. In this way it is possible to offer complete, compact and easy-to-use solutions satisfying all customer application requirements. All products are PIV and IQS certified.

As far as the Commercial Applications, Green Bit addresses the high security demanding market segments, offering the very compact, high quality optical scanners with anti fake to all the integrators and manufacturers.
